The Michigan Mental Health Diversion Council (MMHDC) and the Center for Behavioral Health and Justice are hosting “A Decade of Progress: Advancing Diversion and Crisis Response in Michigan Counties” on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 9 a.m. to noon.
The MHA remains an engaged partner in the MMHDC and its subcommittees and encourages members to attend the summit.
The summit will highlight Michigan’s Sequential Intercept Model (SIM) diversion initiatives and strengthen collaboration among local and state partners. It will also feature insights from the 10-year report, reflecting on the evolution of the SIM framework from its origins within MMHDC to its current statewide impact.
State and local leaders will highlight strategies, lessons learned and best practices for advancing diversion, expanding treatment access and improving system coordination. The virtual format allows partners across Michigan to engage in meaningful dialogue and shared learning. The summit is free of charge, but registration is required.
Members with questions should contact Kelsey Ostergren at the MHA.
