Healthy Futures, Healthy Communities

Michigan hospitals and health systems have a long-standing commitment to offering a wide range of services that enhance the health and wellness of individuals and communities throughout the state. The 2025 Community Impact Report showcases the critical role hospitals play when it comes to improving access to care, addressing affordability and advancing the health of communities beyond the traditional care setting. These efforts are made possible through strategic investments, innovative programming, local partnerships and support from state and federal healthcare champions. The Community Impact Report also outlines investments totaling more than $4.5 billion in community benefit activities in fiscal year 2023 (the latest data available), from education and prevention services to clinical research, healthcare workforce support and more.
