The application deadline for the 2026-27 cohort of the MHA Excellence in Governance Fellowship is June 26. Trustees from small and rural hospitals to large health systems across the state have graduated from this one-of-a-kind program.
The fellowship helps trustees strengthen governance competencies, understand emerging healthcare trends, build confidence in board decision-making and identify practical strategies to enhance organizational effectiveness. Participants also explore the role trustees play in supporting the health and well-being of their communities.
Fellows will participate in three in-person sessions at MHA headquarters in Okemos between October 2026 and June 2027, along with additional virtual sessions.
Members with questions may contact Erin Steward at the MHA.
