- The deadline to submit a request for proposals to the Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Opportunity Workforce Development (LEO-WD) for the State Apprenticeship Expansion (SAE) 2026 grant program is Feb. 18. SAE 2026 will prioritize already approved U.S. Department of Labor Registered Apprenticeship Programs that address talent shortages in critical non-infrastructure occupations, including Health and Human Services.
