Healthcare is built on connections.
Every day, hospitals across Michigan provide care to patients and families, and resources to communities that improve health and well-being. Behind those efforts are countless healthcare professionals, trustees, policymakers, educators and community leaders working together to strengthen healthcare for all Michiganders.
At the MHA, our role is to help strengthen those connections. One of our most effective tools to do so is the MHA website. And this summer, we’ve strengthened that tool with the launch of a more accessible, easier-to-navigate website.
While a website may seem like a simple tool, it is often the first place people turn to when seeking information, resources or insight. For our members, it is a destination for advocacy updates, educational opportunities, events and industry news. For policymakers, it serves as a resource on issues affecting healthcare access, workforce challenges and hospital sustainability. For journalists, researchers, students and community members, it provides information that helps explain the complex issues shaping healthcare in Michigan.
Every day, teams across the association work alongside members, legislators, community partners and subject matter experts to advance healthcare. The MHA website was redesigned to better reflect and showcase the work taking place across Michigan’s healthcare community.
Our advocacy, finance and policy teams engage with lawmakers and stakeholders to ensure the voices of hospitals are represented in discussions affecting patient care. Whether addressing workforce shortages, access to behavioral healthcare, rural healthcare sustainability, Medicaid policy, prescription drug costs or other pressing issues, these efforts help inform policies that impact communities throughout Michigan.
Our educational programs and events bring healthcare leaders together to learn, collaborate and share solutions. From trustees and executives, to clinicians, communicators and emerging leaders, the MHA serves as a convening force for individuals committed to improving healthcare delivery and outcomes.
The MHA Keystone Center plays a critical role in advancing quality and patient safety. Through collaborative learning opportunities, statewide initiatives and the MHA Keystone Center Patient Safety Organization, healthcare organizations voluntarily work together to identify opportunities for improvement, strengthen systems of care and foster a culture of safety that benefits patients and caregivers alike.
The MHA Center for Rural Health Excellence supports rural hospitals and communities by providing resources, technical assistance and opportunities that help strengthen healthcare access across rural Michigan. These efforts recognize that where a person lives should never determine the quality of care they receive.
Through the MHA Service Corporation, members gain access to endorsed partnerships, services and solutions that help hospitals and health systems operate more effectively and efficiently, allowing them to focus on what matters most: caring for patients.
Website visitors are now experiencing a more accessible site with improved navigation and expanded access to the news, resources and programs that support Michigan healthcare.
Complemented by the launch of our Always Caring, Always Advancing public campaign, the refreshed website strengthens how the MHA shares the hospital story and highlights the important work Michigan hospitals do every day.
As healthcare continues to evolve, so will the MHA. We encourage you to explore the refreshed website, engage with its resources and learn more about the people, hospitals and health systems advancing healthcare across Michigan.
Together, we can continue building a healthier future for all Michiganders.
