The MI-SMART System Expansion Committee is seeking stakeholder feedback on the user experience with the MI-SMART form and the proposed MI-SMART 2.0 form. The MI-SMART form is part of a statewide effort to standardize the medical clearance process and improve communication among emergency departments, behavioral health providers, hospitals and other partners involved in psychiatric placement and care coordination.
The MHA has participated in the committee’s work to review stakeholder input, user experiences and implementation considerations that informed the proposed updates.
Members are encouraged to complete the survey by Oct. 9 Â to share their experience with the original form and provide feedback on MI-SMART 2.0, including strengths, remaining concerns, training needs and implementation considerations.
