The MHA is accepting nominations for its annual Advancing Safe Care Award to recognize organizations that are leading the way in workplace violence prevention and employee safety.
Eligible nominees include teams that demonstrate measurable improvements in safety outcomes, particularly among high-risk populations, while fostering a culture of continuous learning, transparency and shared accountability.
Nominations for the 2026 award will now be accepted through Aug. 26, 2026.
The award honors teams that use data to reduce workplace violence risks, strengthen prevention and response strategies, promote open communication about safety and advance both psychological and physical safety for their workforce. The award does not limit the number of team members who can be included in the nomination.
The award will be presented at the MHA Keystone Center Safety & Quality Symposium coming up Oct. 14 in Lansing.
