CDC Restores Immunization Schedules After Federal Court Order

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) restored the official U.S. child, adolescent and adult immunization schedules to the July 2, 2025, versions in compliance with the March 16 federal court ruling in American Academy of Pediatrics v. Kennedy. The restored schedules reflect Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) recommendations approved during the April 2025 meeting.

With the July 2025 schedules reinstated, routine ACIP recommendations are once again in effect for hepatitis A and hepatitis B, including the routine birth dose. Recommendations for influenza, meningococcal ACWY, rotavirus and HPV vaccinations were also restored. The CDC also restored related guidance for the Vaccines for Children program. COVID-19 vaccination recommendations remain under shared clinical decision-making guidance.
