Action Needed to Stop Auto No-fault Bill that Would Cost Hospitals $1.2 Billion
The House Insurance Committee last week reported out a substitute bill to Senate Bill 248 and a vote is possible by the full House Tuesday. This legislation significantly alters Michigan's auto no-fault insurance law and puts accident victims, jobs and taxpayer dollars at risk. As currently written, the bill could cause Michigan's network of hospitals and health systems to lose at least $1.2 billion a year. Contact legislators now, urging them to oppose SB 248 (H-3).
