Where is the line between governance and management? The truth is each board must set its own boundaries on governance versus management decisions, and boards must continuously revisit this line. The webinar You and Your Board: Creating a Synergistic Combination, offered from noon to 1 p.m. April 27, focuses on how strategies, alignment and accountability change over time to meet community needs. Board chairs, CEOs and governing board members are encouraged to register to learn about accountability for:
- Fulfilling the legal obligations and primary responsibilities of their nonprofit board of trustees and the CEO.
- Creating a high-functioning relationship between the CEO and the board of trustees.
- Evaluating and elevating the individual and group performance of the board.
Faculty for the webinar is Sue Tetzlaff, the co-founder of Capstone Leadership Solutions, a Michigan firm specializing in assessing organizations to facilitate planning and execution of operational improvements. Tetzlaff served in healthcare leadership positions for more than 20 years, including Interim CEO and chief operating officer, chief nursing officer and vice president of quality.
