An upcoming virtual event will enlighten healthcare professionals on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) best practices and innovative strategies to improve processes and the delivery of patient care throughout the healthcare continuum. This first-of-its-kind Root Cause Analysis (RCA) Innovation Summit will be presented by the Hospital Quality Institute, the Collaborative Healthcare Patient Safety Organization and the Alliance for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, of which the MHA Keystone Center Patient Safety Organization (PSO) is a member.
The summit kicks off Feb. 16 with a series of pre-summit webinars that set the stage for the half-day virtual event April 14. Adam Novak, MA, CPPS, director of safety initiatives, MHA Keystone Center, will present on resources and training methods the organization uses to analyze RCAs and effectively communicate crucial findings to its members during a pre-summit webinar from 2 to 3 p.m. Feb. 25.
The summit will also explore how RCA and root cause analysis and action (RCA2) can be more effective in developing solutions and spurring action to mitigate patient harm. This event is geared toward staff who currently conduct RCAs.
Registration is available at no cost to MHA Keystone Center PSO members by selecting “AQIPS Member” during the registration process. More information about the event, including the agenda and continuing education credits, is located on the event webpage. Members with questions may contact the MHA Keystone Center PSO.
