Michigan Harvest Gathering Virtual Kickoff is Oct. 20

Michigan harvest gathering

The 2020 Michigan Harvest Gathering will virtually kick off at 10 a.m. ET Oct. 20 through a Facebook Live event on the Food Bank Council of Michigan's page. The 30-minute virtual event will include remarks by MHA CEO Brian Peters; Phillip Knight, PhD, executive director of the Food Bank Council; Rep. Angela Witwer (D-Delta Township); former Attorney General Bill Schuette; and Sen. Peter MacGregor (R-Rockford).

As a partnering organization in this important cause, the MHA encourages donations through the Food Bank Council of Michigan's website. Donors may choose the hospital or state office they represent from a list on the site. This platform also features a virtual food bank, which allows visitors to pick from a menu of items to donate.

A list of 2020 project leaders can be found on the association’s Michigan Harvest Gathering webpage, and there's still time to submit a project leader designation form for those who haven't done so. Those with questions may contact Erin Steward or Lucy Ciaramitaro at the MHA.
