Governing board members are valuable spokespeople for their hospitals because they represent the voice of the community in support of important policy viewpoints and strategic positions. The MHA Board Governance Education webinar series, which includes webinars from noon to 1 p.m. EST on May 9 and May 23, will provide examples of how to advocate using specific messages on important issues like financial viability and workforce safety and how to engage with stakeholders on the political and economic challenges that surround healthcare operations and capital decisions.
