Upcoming events and important healthcare news:

  • The MHA Legislative Policy Panel will meet from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the MHA Capitol Advocacy Center, Lansing. For more information, contact Chris Mitchell at the MHA.
  • The Great Lakes Partners for Patients Hospital Improvement Innovation Network will present the third webinar in its series Advancing the Work of Diversity, Inclusion and Cultural Competence to Achieve Health Equity from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 9. The webinar will highlight the key training topics and themes that support hospital compliance with the standards and free resources available to use for training initiatives. A framework for cultural effectiveness and how to create opportunities to develop skills within existing training will be reviewed. For more information, contact the MHA Keystone Center.
  • The MHA Monday Report will not be published Dec. 30 and Jan. 6 in honor of the Christmas and New Year holidays.
