MHA Twitter Chat Explored COVID-19 Vaccines

#MHA Health Chat Recap

The MHA hosted a Twitter chat Jan. 28 for hospitals, healthcare organizations and subject matter experts to provide the public with local information and resources on the COVID-19 vaccine. The event had more than 30 contributors, including five MHA members, and potentially reached more than 200,000. The chat had at least 780,000 potential impressions overall.

Participants included Ascension Michigan, Beaumont Health, McLaren Health Care, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS), Michigan.gov, Michigan Medicine and Sparrow Health. Additionally, the chat was joined by Elizabeth Hertel, director of the MDHHS, and Dr. Joneigh Khaldun, chief medical executive with the state of Michigan and chief deputy for health at the MDHHS. Throughout the hour-long conversation, several multimedia resources were shared regarding vaccine eligibility, allocation, scheduling and more.
