Michigan public health officials launched the “Spread Hope, Not COVID” public education campaign Sept. 14 to urge all Michiganders to unite to contain the spread of COVID-19 so the state’s economy, schools and communities can safely reopen – and stay open. The following statement of support can be attributed to Brian Peters, CEO of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association.
The “Spread Hope, Not COVID” public education campaign is another step that will help to protect Michigan’s communities from the spread of COVID-19. Every resident needs to do their part when it comes to physical distancing and wearing face coverings to avoid another outbreak of COVID-19 that can overwhelm our hospitals and stress limited resources of personal protective equipment and testing supplies. Coming together and practicing these shared behaviors will help us protect the health of our neighbors and loved ones throughout our state.
