Compliance with Updated CMS Conditions of Participation Explored in Webinar

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently made significant updates to emergency services requirements in its Conditions of Participation (CoPs) that will require hospitals to make many practical and operational modifications.

The MHA Health Foundation webinar Emergency Services: Complying with the CMS Hospital CoPs will review many requirements, including staffing, provision of services both on and off campus, the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act and communitywide emergency medical services protocols, and compliance with standards of care.

The webinar is scheduled from 10 to 11:30 a.m. EDT Aug. 3, and MHA members can register for a connection fee of $195. Members with questions should contact Erica Leyko at the MHA.
