On March 12, a bipartisan group of representatives introduced House Bills 4327 and 4328, which would increase the penalties for those committing assault against healthcare professionals or medical volunteers.
On Feb. 5, a bipartisan group of senators introduced Senate Bill (SB) 80, which would increase the penalties for those committing assault against emergency department personnel.
