Kassandra Gauna, RN, a nurse at Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital, Charlotte, was honored Nov. 3 with the quarterly MHA Keystone Center Speak-up! Award
The MHA Keystone Center held its annual High Reliability Organization (HRO) Tier 2 Workshop Oct. 19. The event brought together chief medical officers, chief nursing officers, chief executive officers, nurses, and physicians from nine HRO Tier 2 facilities.
The MHA Board of Trustees recently approved the 2017-2018 program year action plan, which guides the association’s activities and goals year-round. One of the biggest key objectives for the upcoming year is the Quadruple Aim, which addresses physician and staff satisfaction.
A new program in Northern Michigan is giving patients with chronic disease access to an alternative kind of prescription: fresh vegetables and fruit.

To Our Members: This year’s annual report reflects the MHA Keystone Center’s work toward making Michigan hospitals HROs, as well as our efforts through the GLPP HIIN in Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin.
To Our Members: We’ve established a culture in Michigan that is distinct from other states.
Collecting and Using REAL Data to Improve Quality and Safety, the second webinar in a three-part series focusing on safety outcomes and hospital quality, as well as how and why they are not equitable across all populations, was held Oct. 19.

The MHA Keystone Center recently marked the one-year anniversary of the Great Lakes Partners for Patients (GLPP) Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN) contract.
The MHA Keystone Center Patient Safety Organization (PSO) will conduct two events for its members in November, and registration is now open.
The Great Lakes Partners for Patients (GLPP) Hospital Innovation Improvement Network (HIIN) hosted a Quality Essential Skills Training (QuEST) Oct. 11 and 12 in Gaylord.
