The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) hosted a hearing March 12 to gather public comment on the permanent rules to replace the emergency rules for reporting of poisonings due to the use of prescription or illicit drugs. 
Medications are involved in 80 percent of all treatments, which is the primary reason medication procedures are closely monitored by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
