The registration deadline is Sept. 11 for the 2018 MHA Patient Safety & Quality Symposium scheduled for Sept. 18 and 19 at the Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest.
In 2014, Newberry-based Helen Newberry Joy Hospital began its focus on improving transitions of care by participating in an MHA Keystone Center initiative that concentrated specifically on moving patients from one setting of care to another.

Two nurses from Lakeland Health were honored Aug. 22 with the MHA Keystone Center Speak-up! Award. The award recognizes healthcare professionals and hospital staff who choose to speak up to prevent patient or staff harm in Michigan hospitals.
As the MHA Keystone Center celebrates its 15-year anniversary, it is important to recognize how, collectively, hospitals have prevented infections and harm to patients, saved countless lives and avoided millions of dollars in healthcare costs. 
The MHA Keystone Center, as part of the Great Lakes Partners for Patients (GLPP) Hospital Improvement Innovation Network, will launch a three-state opioid safety initiative for emergency department (ED) teams.
Registration is now open for the MHA Keystone Center Fall 2018 Workshop, scheduled for Oct. 23, which is designed for healthcare workers in the critical care setting.
Patient safety healthcare leader and keynote speaker Tejal Gandhi, MD, headlines the list of speakers for the MHA Patient Safety & Quality Symposium, scheduled for Sept. 18 and 19 at Ann Arbor Marriott Ypsilanti at Eagle Crest.
