MHA Webinar Reviews CMS Informed Consent Requirements

Posted on July 21, 2017

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) believes that an important first step in improving high-quality decision-making is upgrading informed consent policies and procedures within a hospital setting. The CMS now holds health systems and hospitals, including critical access hospitals, accountable for the quality of informed consent documents shared with patients. Ensuring your hospital is up-to-date with informed consent procedures is a must.

The MHA Health Foundation webinar CMS, Joint Commission, DNV and Other Informed Consent Standards: What You Should Know will review the mandatory requirements of informed consent and more.Click here to view the full edition of Monday Report.

The webinar is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 8, and MHA members can register for a connection fee of $195. Members with questions should contact Erica Leyko at the MHA.
