Free Webinars to Explain Medicare Fee-for-service Quality-based Programs

Posted on February 09, 2021

The MHA is coordinating two free educational webinars hosted by DataGen to review the Medicare fee-for-service (FFS) quality-based programs. The webinar offered from 1 to 2 p.m. March 3 will review the Medicare value-based purchasing program, and the webinar available from 1 to 2 p.m. March 10 will review the readmissions and hospital-acquired conditions reduction programs. There is no cost for members to participate in the webinars, but registration is required.

Prior to the webinars, the MHA intends to distribute a hospital-specific one-page summary report that will reflect actual program performance for each of the three Medicare quality-based programs for fiscal years 2019 through 2021 based on data recently released by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. These reports will provide the overall estimated financial impact for each of the program years with actual, final payment adjustment factors for each program. Members with questions should contact Vickie Kunz at the MHA.
