Infection Prevention Boot Camp Series Enhances Quality and Safety

Posted on July 09, 2020

The Infection Prevention Boot Camp webinar series gives healthcare staff a thorough understanding of how to create and lead a comprehensive infection prevention and control plan across units and disciplines. Credentialed, expert faculty will detail critical quality and safety processes and measures from 2 to 4 p.m. ET each Thursday, beginning Aug. 13 and concluding Sept. 17.

The Aug. 13 webinar will outline the role and core competencies of the infection preventionist, the infection prevention and control requirements of various regulatory bodies, how to develop an infection control risk assessment and infection prevention plan, and how to evaluate an infection prevention program.

On Aug. 20, participants will learn about the chain of infection, the difference between incidence and prevalence, the types of epidemiological studies and the elements of an effective surveillance program.

MHA members can register for $600 per line and non-MHA members will pay $700 per line for the six-session boot camp. Members may register online or contact Erica Leyko at the MHA for more information.
