Posted on June 07, 2020

Important healthcare news for the week of June 8:

  • The Bureau of Professional Licensing (BPL), part of the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs, continues to incorporate licenses into its new database system called MiPLUS. Used for licensing and regulating both health and occupational professionals, the transition to MiPLUS began in 2017. The next round of providers will be added in July and will include family therapists, psychology, audiology, acupuncture and speech language pathology. The BPL will explain general functions for new users of the database during a Zoom videoconferencing session from 10 to 11 a.m. June 10. To register, contact Cynthia Rowe at the BPL. Members with questions should contact Paige Fults at the MHA.
