MHA Pleased About Restoration of Hospital Funding

The MHA is pleased that policymakers have reached an agreement that restores vital hospital funding in the fiscal year 2020 budget. Michigan’s small and rural hospitals are a lifeline for the communities they serve, and inadequate Medicaid reimbursement rates have long placed a burden on these hospitals. Restoring support for the Rural Access Pool and Obstetrics Stabilization Fund protects safety net services and care in Michigan’s most remote areas.

The association thanks the governor and the Legislature for their work to ensure every community in Michigan can continue to access the healthcare services they need.
