Upcoming events and important healthcare news for the week of Aug. 26:

  • The Great Lakes Partners for Patients Hospital Improvement Innovation Network interactive event Spreading Success to Reduce Clostridioides difficile will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Detroit Marriott Livonia. Attendees will go through the “Road to C. difficile Reduction Playbook” and learn tactical steps to implement the program, as well as ways to increase patient satisfaction and reduce harm and healthcare costs.   • MHA offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 2, in honor of Labor Day. The MHA Monday Report will not be published that day. However, the latest news will be published in the MHA Newsroom throughout the week. The next issue of the Monday Report will be dated Sept. 9. Have a safe and healthy holiday!
     
  • The Hospital Affiliated Legislative Officers will meet from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3, at the MHA Capitol Advocacy Center, Lansing. For more information, contact Adam Carlson at the MHA.
     
  • The MHA Behavioral Health Integration Task Force will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, at MHA headquarters, Okemos. Consultants from the nonprofit research and consulting organization Altarum will discuss the company’s July 2019 report on the accessibility of behavioral health services in Michigan.
