Crains Detroit Business Column: Michigan's Medicaid expansion plan has room for improvement

Brian PetersMHA CEO Brian Peters wrote an opinion piece published by Crains Detroit Business July 14 on where the Medicaid program stands nearly 6 years after its expansion in Michigan.

The column reflects on challenges and successes of the Michigan Medicaid program and the Healthy Michigan Plan expansion, and highlights two areas that need additional attention: behavioral health and maternal health. It reinforces the importance of working together to create solutions for those in need of behavioral healthcare, improve maternal health and address inequities in care.
