Register Now for MHA Workplace Safety Collaborative Workshop Addressing Violence

Registration is now open for the MHA Workplace Safety Collaborative: Addressing Violence in Healthcare Settings taking place Sept. 25 at the Detroit Marriott Troy. The interactive workshop is part of the ongoing MHA workplace safety collaborative and will be held the day before the MHA Safety & Quality Symposium.
Keynote speaker Monica Cooke, BSN, MA, RNC, CPHQ, CPHRM, DFASHRM, chief executive officer, Quality Plus Solutions LLC, Baltimore, will discuss how organizations can develop and implement a workplace violence prevention program
Other featured speakers will focus on ways to address violence in the behavioral health setting, such as de-escalation, silent alarms, leadership support, and injury reporting channels, as well as the importance of empowering healthcare workers to report acts of physical and verbal violence.
Attendees will gain valuable insight into how healthcare organizations can sustain successful violence prevention programs, report incidents of physical and verbal violence, and commit to eliminating workplace violence.
