Upcoming events and important healthcare news for the week of June 17:

  • The Care Transitions - Key to Population Health Statewide Summit will be held from 8:15 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Tuesday at VisTaTech Center - Schoolcraft College, Livonia. The workshop will discuss social determinants of health, behavioral health and age-friendly hospitals. For more information, contact the MHA Keystone Center.
  • The MHA FY 2021 Wage Index Webinar will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. The webinar will review potential regulation and interpretation changes by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and Medicare Administrative Contractors, which will help participants ensure data is accurately reported for use in developing the FY 2021 wage index, effective Oct. 1, 2020. In addition to the statewide webinar, the MHA is hosting conference calls with hospitals located in each core-based statistical area (CBSA). Hospitals should contact Crystal Mitchell at the MHA to learn the date and time for their CBSA call.
