2019 Health PAC Campaign Underway

Health PAC logoThe 2019 MHA Health Political Action Committee (Health PAC) fundraising campaign among member hospitals began March 1, working toward the association’s statewide goal of raising $400,000.

Health PAC funding is one of the most critical tools used to assist in ensuring that the hospital community has access to elected officials in Lansing and Washington, DC. Contributions to Health PAC have assisted the MHA in keeping the visibility of critical hospital-related funding in the legislative priorities for the fiscal year 2020 budget. It is imperative that this momentum is maintained by having full participation by all MHA members as healthcare continues to evolve and initiatives are proposed to help hospitals and the patients they serve.

The MHA Board of Trustees has requested that each hospital and health system conduct a Health PAC fundraising campaign. Hospitals that wish to have the MHA conduct their campaign should complete the Mailing Service Form and return it to Stacy Dowdy at the MHA. Since the deadline to complete the campaign is set for June 3, hospitals that have not yet done so are encouraged to begin their local Health PAC fundraising campaigns immediately.

For general campaign information, materials and updates about goal achievers and individual club members, visit the Health PAC website. Members with questions should contact Stacy Dowdy at the MHA.
