News to Know – Week of Feb. 11

Upcoming events and important healthcare news for the week of Feb. 11:

  • The MHA Service Corporation Board of Directors meeting will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Monday at MHA Headquarters in Okemos. The board provides oversight and direction for shaping current and future business services to hospitals and other entities in Michigan and beyond.   • The MHA Board of Trustees meeting will take place Wednesday from 9 a.m. to noon at MHA Headquarters in Okemos. For more information, contact Amy Barkholz at the MHA.
     
  • The MHA Person & Family Engagement Advisory Council meeting will take place from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday at MHA Headquarters in Okemos. Following a noon networking lunch, the council will consider opportunities for hospitals to increase the efficacy of their person and family advisory councils. Virtual participation will be available for this meeting. For more information, contact Sam Watson at the MHA.
     
  • The MHA Keystone Center Patient Safety Organization (PSO) Safe Table will take place from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kalkaska Memorial Health Center – William Kitti Education Center. The event will be held in conjunction with the MICAH Quality Network meeting scheduled for Friday at the same location. The event is open to all MHA Keystone Center PSO members.
