Registration Open for MHA Keystone Center Patient Safety Organization Annual Meeting
Posted on January 25, 2019
Because workplace safety is a focus area for the MHA this program year, the MHA Keystone Center Patient Safety Organization (PSO) has started to evaluate workplace safety-related data and will host a variety of events on the topic throughout 2019.
The MHA Keystone Center PSO Annual Meeting in March will have a heavy focus on workplace safety. This event will also feature presentations on diagnostic errors, safety culture and updates on member-submitted data. The annual meeting will take place from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. March 6 at The Henry, Dearborn.
Nationally recognized speaker Monica Cooke, RNC, MA, CPHQ, CPHRM, FASHRM, will discuss a collaborative approach to workplace safety. Cooke is chief executive officer of Quality Plus Solutions, LLC, a behavioral healthcare risk management and quality improvement consulting firm based in the Baltimore area. Attendees will also hear from peers on the importance of safety culture and speaking up to prevent harm, as well as using NextPlane Solutions to report adverse events. The event will allow participants to connect with other healthcare professionals, discuss important issues facing MHA Keystone Center PSO members, and learn how to make employees and patients feel safe and secure while in the hospital setting.
Registration for the annual meeting is free and open to all MHA Keystone Center PSO members. A virtual option is available for those unable to attend in person. For more information on the event, contact the MHA Keystone Center PSO.
