MHA Statement on Lame-duck Auto No-fault Bill: Tabling the Discussion until 2019 is the Right Thing to Do

Posted on December 20, 2018

The following statement can be attributed to Brian Peters, CEO of the Michigan Health & Hospital Association:

Brian Peters"We applaud the House’s decision to table the lame-duck discussion on auto no-fault. Auto no-fault insurance reform is an important issue that impacts millions of people in Michigan. Changes to the current system warrant thoughtful consideration, time and attention, all three of which are in short supply during the final days of legislative sessions. We look forward to working with elected officials in 2019 on meaningful reforms that address Michigan drivers’ concerns and protect accident survivors’ access to care."
