MiCare Champions Connect on Social Media
Posted on October 04, 2018
In conjunction with the ongoing #MiCareMatters social media and digital awareness campaign, a private Facebook group, MiCare Champions, has been created for individuals to stay up-to-date on ongoing issues and legislative measures that affect healthcare in Michigan.
Launched in 2017, the #MiCareMatters campaign aims to educate the public about Michigan hospitals’ efforts to lead the way to create healthy, thriving communities and to build a network of citizens — “MiCare Champions” — who want to engage in advocacy efforts to protect access to affordable healthcare services in Michigan. To date, more than 430 MiCare Champions have contacted their lawmakers hundreds of times about healthcare issues.
The new Facebook group gives individuals the opportunity to connect with other MiCare Champions from across the state and is home to blog content from MHA thought leaders, updates on the upcoming November election and member stories.
Those who wish to join the MiCare Champions Facebook group can submit a request to join on Facebook. Members with questions should contact John Karasinski at the MHA.
