Member Forum to Discuss Checklist, Requirements of New Opioid Laws

Posted on April 19, 2018

Michigan's Opioid EpidemicThe MHA Keystone Center will host a member forum April 27 to discuss its recently developed Michigan Opioid Legislation Hospital Compliance Checklist. The checklist was created to help guide MHA-member hospitals through the requirements of a package of bills signed into law last December in response to the opioid epidemic. The checklist is available to MHA members on the MHA Community site.

During the forum, attendees will review the checklist and available provider and patient educational resources, as well as participate in a Q&A session about the new laws and their requirements. The event will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in-person at MHA headquarters, Okemos, during which a lunch will be provided. Those who cannot attend in person may participate in the event through a virtual option. Members are asked to register by April 25.

Members with questions may contact Brittany Bogan at the MHA.
