Member Forums Set for Winter 2018

Posted on December 08, 2017

The MHA will host a series of MHA Member Forums in February and March. At each of the sessions, MHA leadership will bring participants up to date on the association’s efforts to help members advance the health of individuals and communities.

Topics will include an outline of the MHA all-payer strategy, including a visioning session with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) and MHA Board of Trustees leadership; the status of the BCBSM Participating Hospital Agreement model contract language; efforts with the Michigan Association of Health Plans to identify administrative improvements to promote efficiency, accuracy of reporting and furtherance of population health; and the Medicaid managed care payment process and first quarter payments. The MHA leadership team will also review the new MHA public transparency website and activities of the MHA Price Transparency Task Force, including direction on how patients, communities and providers can use healthcare price transparency to guide decisions.
