Healthy Michigan Plan
The Healthy Michigan Plan launched in April 2014 and provides 600,000 working Michiganders with comprehensive, affordable health insurance. The MHA and its members have worked to support the adoption and continuation of this program, as well as look for ways to improve access to high-quality care for its beneficiaries.
Here are some key facts about the Healthy Michigan Plan:
- It covers adult residents of Michigan who are otherwise uninsured and who have an annual income of at or below 138 percent of the federal poverty level.
- Enrollment is always open, and is available via an online application or by contacting a qualified enrollment office.
- Enrollees of a certain income level must pay small premiums and copays for certain services.
Providers and potential enrollees who need more information should visit the State of Michigan's Healthy Michigan Plan website.
