The Great Lakes Partners for Patients (GLPP) is collaborating with the Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare (CTH) to support GLPP hospitals in their journey to become high reliability organizations.
As part of this effort, monthly webinars are available to GLPP Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN) hospitals that discuss practices and processes of HROs.
Registration is free and open to all GLPP HIIN hospitals.
Featured speaker, Beverley H. Johnson, president and chief executive officer of the Institute for Patient- and Family-Centered Care will discuss patient and family advisory council (PFAC) best practices and outline a variety of ways that PFACs can influence: policy, program, and facility development; quality, safety, and the experience of care; staff orientation and professional and interprofessional education: and research. It will also explore strategies for selecting and supporting patient and family advisors as board members.
The target audience for this webinar is CEOs, chief medical officers, chief nursing officers, vice presidents/directors of quality and safety, and anyone engaged in creating an environment of accountability and reliability.
Questions about the GLPP/CTH high reliability initiative can be directed to the MHA Keystone Center.
