The MHA Keystone Center, in conjunction with the Great Lakes Partners for Patients Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (GLPP HIIN), will host a full-day interactive event on C. diff Aug. 28 at the Detroit Marriott Livonia.
Registration is free and open to all GLPP HIIN members. C. diff prevention teams are encouraged to attend the event. Each facility should minimally send two staff members, as the afternoon action planning session requires brainstorming and next steps.
The event will provide information on an innovative initiative launched by Springfield, IL-based HSHS St. John’s Hospital that delivered substantial reductions in hospital-acquired C. diff infections.
Attendees will go through the “Road to C. difficile Reduction Playbook” and learn tactical steps to implement the program, as well as ways to increase patient satisfaction and reduce harm and healthcare costs.
