The Great Lake Partners for Patients (GLPP) Hospital Improvement Innovation Network (HIIN) will host a full-day, interactive event July 30 at the Detroit Marriott, Livonia. The workshop will highlight a proven healthcare innovation that has increased patient satisfaction, reduced harm and decreased costs.
Attendees will learn about an innovative initiative that was originally launched by Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, and delivered substantial reductions in readmissions, ED recidivism and unnecessary admissions.
During the interactive event, attendees will be taken through the ED Recidivism and Unnecessary Hospital Admissions and Readmissions Playbook, which provides:

Obstacles, barriers, learnings and successes
Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital's journey will highlight concrete concepts, order of operations, guidelines and plans to implement the innovation. Hospital teams will engage in vision, strategy and game planning activities to begin the process of implementing the innovation at hospital facilities, leveraging talent of hospital members to rapidly spread high impact innovations and improve the lives of patients.
