CMS Hospital QAPI Worksheet and Standards

Thursday, May 16, 2019 @ 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Overview

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) standards are designed to help providers achieve national healthcare improvement goals for individuals and populations while reducing per capita costs. In 2019, CMS is increasing its focus on the QAPI worksheet, making the importance and timeliness of this webinar clear.

The MHA Health Foundation webinar CMS Hospital QAPI Worksheet and Standards will review:

  • The different sections of the QAPI worksheet, and suggestions for establishing goals, scope, timing, milestones, and team roles and responsibilities for an improvement project.
  • Guidelines for overall assessment of the efficacy of performance improvement activities, including indicators for process and outcomes.
  • The governing board’s responsibility for QAPI programs and how they must ensure the delivery of adequate resources to performance improvement personnel.
  • QAPI deficiencies facing hospitals and ways to reduce and eliminate these errors.
