The MHA is convening member organization in a collaborative to identify, develop and implement workplace safety risk-reduction strategies. The MHA asks that each organization complete the Michigan Workplace Safety Assessment by Feb. 14.
A day-long kickoff meeting will be held March 11 at the VisTaTech Center - Schoolcraft College, Livonia. The event will bring together key stakeholders and provide an overview of the four main workplace safety areas being address through the collaborative: violence; sharps injuries; safe patient handling/musculoskeltal disorders; and slips, trips and falls. It will also help identify where hospitals are in their employee safety work and set goals as well as discuss OSHA injury measures.
Registration is free and open to all MHA Keystone Center members.
