Those registering for the MHA Annual Membership Meeting for June 29 - July 1 should do so immediately. Please note, that MHA must receive a paid registration form before the hotel form will be available to book your room. The Grand Hotel is SOLD OUT for the nights of June 27 and June 28. Rooms are still available for June 29, 30 and July 1. If you need a room for June 27 or 28, please make arrangements at another hotel on the island. The MHA does not have a room block at other hotels.

Grand Hotel reservation forms are not available online or within the brochure. The MHA must receive a paid event registration form prior to making a hotel reservation. Once the MHA receives a paid event registration form, an event confirmation will be sent via e-mail. Within this event confirmation, there is a link to download a copy of the Grand Hotel Reservation form. Only this form can be used in conjunction with the MHA Annual Membership Meeting. A unique confirmation number will be provided to you within the event confirmation. You must write the Grand Hotel confirmation/invoice number given in your event confirmation in the space provided on the hotel form. Hotel forms without this number will not be accepted. This number can be used on multiple forms if you are requesting more than one room. Mail or fax your hotel reservation directly to the Grand Hotel.

Hotel Reservations

The Grand Hotel is offering a special family rate for MHA annual meeting attendees. There will be no additional charge for children under 18 years of age who stay in the same room with their parents. This includes breakfast and dinner each day of the stay, as well as the Grand Luncheon Buffet on Thursday, June 30. The regular adult rate applies when children occupy a room by themselves. Additional people aged 18 and older are only $130 daily per person when sharing a room with two guests paying the full rate.

Important information about your lodging request:

  • Once the MHA receives a paid event registration form, you will receive a link to download a copy of the Grand Hotel Reservation form. You must write the Grand Hotel confirmation/invoice number given in your event confirmation in the space provided on the hotel form. Hotel forms without this number will not be accepted. Phone reservations will not be accepted.

  • A separate form must be submitted for each requested room.

  • Accommodations are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, based on membership status. Delegates from Type I organizations receive first priority.

  • If you request more than one room, your request will be assigned based on availability.

  • All accommodations are in the Grand Hotel until the room block is filled.

  • There is no guarantee of lodging in the Grand Hotel.

  • In accordance with Michigan law, the Grand Hotel is a nonsmoking property.

  • All hotel confirmations will be sent to you via U.S. mail from the Grand Hotel. Be sure to complete all address information on the form.

  • Questions regarding room reservations for the annual meeting should be directed to the Grand Hotel by calling (800) 33-GRAND or (800) 334-7263.

  • All hotel reservations must be returned on or before May 23. Confirmation of lodging will be sent after June 1.

  • In the event the MHA room block at the Grand Hotel is exhausted, accommodations can be made for registrants at downtown Mackinac Island hotels that have contracted with the MHA and are able to accommodate the lodging requests.

  • Finally, since the MHA Annual Meeting precedes the Fourth of July weekend, please take note of the Grand Hotel's policy relative to holiday weekends: Anyone not checking out on or before July 2 (Saturday) will be responsible for payment for an additional three nights of lodging, whether or not they are staying.
