The most effective statewide lobbying organizations maintain close physical proximity to the state legislature. The MHA Capitol Advocacy Center gives the MHA that needed presence at the center of the state's legislative, regulatory and judicial activities.
- The MHA Capitol Advocacy Center is located across the street from the state Capitol and the governor's office building and within one block of the House and Senate office buildings.
- The MHA Capitol Advocacy Center is staffed by a core contingent of professionals from the MHA Advocacy, Communication and Education, and Policy and Health Delivery divisions, and the MHA Executive Office.
- The MHA Capitol Advocacy Center allows individual MHA members to meet with their legislators, administration officials, and health policy-makers in a downtown Lansing location.
- The Center also serves as a site for MHA committee, council, and task force meetings, and offers office, faxing, Internet access, and videoconferencing capabilities for MHA members when they visit the state Capitol.
- MHA members are encouraged to use the Capitol Advocacy Center to advance the cause of nonprofit hospitals in Michigan.

Parking
Parking is available in commercial lots within two blocks of the MHA Capitol Advocacy Center. There are short-term parking meters on adjacent streets.
